Yamashita Kogyosho Co., Ltd. is 3D sheet metal forming specialists and supplies faces of Shinkansen bullet trains. They curve aluminum sheets, few millimeters thick, by hammering, and weld them together. Applying this highly advanced craftsmanship, they made this beautiful aluminum cello. Not only it looks stunning, but it can be played like an ordinary wooden instruments.

They made an aluminum violin in May 2009. It might not be long before we see an orchestra with aluminum instruments.
