These samurai armors are reproduction of those used by leading samurais (feudal lords) around 16th century in Japan.

Due to hot/humid weather and the fact that swords were the main weapons in the battles, Japanese armors were not all made of metal but all sorts of material such as cast iron, leather,fabric, and lacquer were used. Each feudal lord had his own armor maker and competed decorations and originality.

The chinese character "Love" on the headpieace in the above photo means love. This armor was used by one of the most famous samurai, Kanetsugu NAOE, but nobody really knows what kind of love he meant...
